Forthcoming Postal Strike & Receipt Of Matchday Teamsheets |

Clubs will be aware, given wide ranging recent publicity in the national and local media, that a general postal strike will be embarked upon from Thursday onwards. The scale of disruption is not yet clear nonetheless the strike will affect everyone whether in business, commercial activity or ourselves principally, as the customer. To combat the effect clubs when returning the League’s official team sheets Clubs should use my fax (01744 454804) or scan the documents. There is after all, different ways in which to “skin a cat” so failing to activate either of these methods to send team sheets will not be an excuse. To avoid fines to combat non receipt within 5 working days as the rules clearly dictates, Clubs can, as always, drop off team sheets at my home address of Fines imposed as a result of failing to deliver team sheets are issued weekly at 12noon on the subsequent Saturday (following games) so please make an effort. UNTIL THE STRIKE IS OVER THE LEAGUE WILL EXTEND BY 24 HOURS TO SUNDAY 12 NOON THE DEADLINE BY WHICH CLUBS MUST RETURN OFFICIAL TEAM SHEETS Remember – all original copies of Official Team Sheets must be brought to the next League meeting. If there should be an unfortunate serious injury resulting in a claim then the insurance company dealing with the matter on the club’s/ player’s behalf, will need sight of the original copy – not a scanned nor faxed copy of the document. REGISTRATION FORMS I will be heading to To avoid possible disappointment during this difficult time I would advise clubs to bring the documents directly to my home address where I will process the forms and if new scan the photographs. Clubs can the collect the player cards from me on the Friday or Saturday prior to the week-end’s games. Registration card requests received after 7pm on Wednesday of this week CANNOT BE DEALT WITH AS THERE WILL NO GUARANTEE OF THE CARDS BEING RECEIVED – so it is entirely in your interests to act fast –and now.
